The newest collection of the KWPN Online 3&4-Year-Olds Auction is packed with opportunities, evidenced by last weekend’s results at the WC for Young Dressage Horses. The half-sister of the ster mare Orangewood Tarpania (s.Governor), Dutch Dream (s.Dream Boy), followed in the footsteps of his dam and represented the Dutch flag under Edith Chardon in Ermelo. However, the collection, on which you can place a bid from August 11 through 14, does not solely excel in sports perspective.

Dressage breeders can also indulge themselves. Multiple mares are expecting a successor next year, so those who missed out during the recent KWPN Online Broodmare & Embryo Auction, is granted another chance this auction.

Unique second chance
The ones who were unsuccessful during the KWN Online Broodmare & Embryo Auction in their endeavour to acquire the top seller Habiana V.O.D. (s.Bretton Woods) earlier this year are given a unique second chance in this 3- and 4-year-olds auction. Phileine (s.Negro) is a daughter of the former highlight of the broodmare auction. Her dam Habiana V.O.D. is a half-sister of the 2021 World Champion: Kjento; also sired by Negro, just like Phileine. Granddam Zoriana produced the KWPN-approved stallion Mowgli V.O.D. (s.Desperado) and the NMC champions Heliana V.O.D. (s.Davino V.O.D.) and Niana V.O.D. (s.Desperado). Phileine herself is in foal to Desperado.

The KWPN Online 3&4-Year-Olds Auction also features genes from last year’s broodmare auction. One of the top sellers that edition was Montanavrouwe (s.Daily Diamond). Parfaitvrouwe BS (s.Jameson RS2) offers you the opportunity to acquire a daughter of her. Like her dam, a descendent of the renowned Landsvrouwe-line, known for, among others, Edward Gal’s Olympic dressage horse Glock’s Undercover N.O.P. (s.Ferro).

Breeding success

Phileine (s.Negro) is not the only mare that expects a successor next year. The dam line of the NMC mare Perfect Dance (s.D’Avie). is continued next year, too. Perfect Dance, that was awarded the ster predicate with 85/85, expects an offspring of Dettori in March. At the studbook inspection she received 90 points for her trot and an invitation to the National Mare Championship, upholding her family’s honour. Via two Z2 level mares, the third generation of this dam line traces back to the international Small Tour horse Romy of Leida Collins-Strijk. She is a half-sister of the national Grand Prix winner Templeton’s Honeymoon (s.Blue Hors Hotline) of Lisa Wilcox, that in turn produced the international Small Tour horse Impress Taonga (s.Vitalis) and two Small Tour horses Capoeira II and Crystal Flower (s.Conteur).
