The crowd erupted in a thundering applause when Daniel Bachmann Andersen was in the saddle of the KWPN-approved Extreme U.S. This guest rider could not hide his enthusiasm either and awarded the Escamillo-son the ultimate 10 for their test ride. It secured Extreme U.S. the win in the Pavo Cup for four-year-old horses.

The bar was set high in the final for four-year-old horses and unsurprisingly, Daniel Bachmann Andersen was able to give out high marks. Renate van Uytert-van Vliet won her third Pavo Cup title aboard Extreme U.S. (Escamillo out of Viva Contana PS by Vivaldi), the stallion of breeder Paul Schockemöhle and Joop van Uytert. “He is absolutely amazing to ride! I cannot think of any negative remark. He’s got the power, the schwung, the self-carriage, the ability to collect and extend and he is already very strong in the top line. Renate did a really good job, because he is clearly a trusting horse that is also very focused. A ten!”

Top three

KWPN stallion One Million (Vivaldi out of Joyrider elite IBOP-dres PROK by Apache, bred by M.H.J. Gotink) held on to his runner-up position in the second round of the final. The stallion, presented by Robin Heiden, received a 9.6 from the guest rider. “He is definitely ‘one in a million’. This horse has a lot of quality, he is everything you can wish for as a rider.” The best mare was Oxxi_Lena (Secret out of Helena elite sport-dres IBOP-dres PROK by Don Tango B, bred by Myra Dicker-Glaser of Harskamp) presented by Annemijn Boogaards.  Oxxi_Lena placed third and received a 9.5 from Daniel.
