The European Championship in Riesenbeck has started well for the Dutch horses participating in para-dressage. EHL Daula II N.O.P. became the European champion in the individual test, followed by Demantur RS2 N.O.P. and Katharina Sollenburg. In Grade V, there were medals for Alphaville N.O.P. and Highlanders Delight’s.

With Demi Haerkens in the saddle, EHL Daula II N.O.P. convincingly claimed the top spot in Grade IV. The Gribaldi daughter (out of Kladaula keur pref prest by Michelangelo, breeders J.M. van Uytert from Heerewaarden and A. Barneveld from Zeist) scored 77,55% and was ranked first by four of the five judges. Sanne Voets followed with Demantur RS2 N.O.P. She scored 75,91% and therefore claimed the silver medal with the Vivaldi son (out of Kaylee keur prest sport-dres by Elcaro, breeder A.M. Reuzenaar from Schaijk).

Bronze for the Belgian flag
For the Belgian flag, there was a bronze medal for Katharina Sollenburg. Manon Claeys rode to a score of 73,44% with the Electron daughter (out of Walzing Mathilde S. elite pref EPTM-dres PROK by Jazz, breeder A. Zekveld from Almere). Just off the podium, we see Goldstrike B.J. and the Swedish rider Louise Etzner Jakobsson, who achieved a score of 72,83%.

Hosmar and his veteran horse claim silver
In grade V, Frank Hosmar rode to the silver medal. His horse Alphaville N.O.P. (Sandreo out of Marcia keur by Iglesias, breeder A. Hendriks from Reek) scored exactly 76%, which was just over 0,3% short of the victory. The bronze medal went to the German rider Regine Mispelkamp and the Dutch-bred Florencio son Highlanders Delight’s (out of Pijalda MW prest by Jazz, breeder P.G. van Berkel from Holten).

Cleverboy just missed the podium
In Grade I, Cleverboy just missed the podium. Under the Irish rider Michael Murphy, the Vivaldi son (out of Wanny elite EPTM-dressage PROK by Kennedy, breeder G. Gijsbers from Loosbroek) achieved a score of 74.04%, which was half a percent short of earning a bronze medal.

Impulz W finishes fifth in Grade III
In Grade III, Impulz W finished in fifth place. With the Irish rider Katie Reilly, the son of Wynton (out of Rubilant stb prest PROK by Rubinstein I, breeder F. Wouters from Weurt) achieved a score of 63.40%.
