Just like last year, the Emerald van 't Ruytershof son IB Easy, ridden by Alexander Uekermann, made it to the finals at the World Championship. The breeding product of Egbert Kuijer finished in fourth place.

Ten combinations made it to the jump-off in this World Championship final for six-year-olds. In the competition set at the 1.40m level, German rider Katrin Eckermann secured the gold with the Casallco offspring, Cascajall.

Standouts
As the first starter in the jump-off, Alexander Uekermann aimed to deliver a smooth, faultless round without taking unnecessary risks. He succeeded, and his fast result with the Emerald van 't Ruytershof son IB Easy (registered name Maloubantos, out of Izibanta by Dallas VDL) earned him fourth place. "He jumped faultlessly every day here last year as well. He is a very special horse, and we will definitely try to be here again next year," commented his rider. Another highly remarkable KWPN horse in this final was the Kannan son, Madness (out of Miss Emerald by Emerald van 't Ruytershof, breeder Hans van Kessel from Heeswijk Dinther), ridden by Hannes Ahlmann. Just like last year, his impressive jumps made him a real standout in the World Championship final. They were on their way to a top result but didn't find the ideal distance at the second-to-last oxer, resulting in a refusal and penalty points. They ultimately finished ninth. "I'm absolutely disappointed because this horse deserved a medal! He is an incredibly talented show jumper and I still don't fully understand what happened; I didn't see it coming. However, at a championship you are often taken by surprise," Hannes Ahlmann said afterwards. "Fortunately, the breeders have once again seen his qualities and if possible we'll be back for another attempt next year."
