At the championship in Lanaken, Renee de Weert secured a beautiful bronze medal in the 7-year-old riding Labantrix, a competitive daughter of Eldorado van de Zeshoek from the Netherlands.

With Henk van den Broek's self-bred Labantrix (Eldorado van de Zeshoek out of Abantrix by Abantos), Renee de Weert remained convincingly faultless in the first two rounds and they also kept their record clean in the final. Their performance was rewarded with a bronze medal.

A lot of confidence
In the technical 1.45m competition, eleven combinations remained faultless in the basic course. As the third starter, Renee knew that riding without faults was the only option to finish at the front in this World Championship final. "I have always been fond of Labantrix, and Henk has always had a long-term vision with this horse. This was only the third time I rode a jump-off with her! In Exloo, we finished third. She won the 1.35m in Merselo earlier this year and now bronze at the World Championship. Labantrix is very eager and that serves her very well at this level," said Henk van den Broek's stable rider. A beautiful breeding success for the former stallion selection committee member. The gold medal went to Harry Allen with Kumina Della Caccia, one of the standout performers among the offspring of the KWPN-bred and approved stallion Kannan here at the World Championships for young show jumpers.
