KWPN horses for the WBFSH Champions Trophy announced
From September 28 to October 1st, the first edition of the WBFSH Studbook Jumping Global Champions Trophy will take place in Valkenswaard. The KWPN will be represented in all categories.
At the KWPN Championships in Exloo, Eric van der Vleuten, Teus van den Brink, and Henk Dirksen made the initial selections for participation in the WBFSH Studbook Jumping Global Champions Trophy. They continued their efforts in the following period to select the best available horses for this championship. "It's a new championship and it's taking place the week after the World Championships in Lanaken, so that made it a challenge to put together strong teams," says Eric van der Vleuten. "The riders who had qualified with their horses for Lanaken had to choose between participating in Lanaken or in the WBFSH championship. In addition, we selected some other horses, both domestic and international. For the KWPN horses from abroad, we watched many videos and examined the results to make sure we were well-prepared for Valkenswaard. Here in the Netherlands, we have the advantage that the championship is close to home, and we can choose from a large group of KWPN horses, so we are looking forward to the championship with confidence."
On Saturday, September 30, an auction will take place in Valkenswaard. Horses participating in the championship can still be registered for this auction this week, after which the organization will make a selection. Interested parties can contact the organization directly for more information.
