Where things didn't quite work out for the five- and six-year-olds, it did work out for the seven-year-olds today. In the closing championship, the KWPN team secured the top position.

The team, consisting of Let's Wait and See (Entertainer out of Wait and See by Colman, bred by Stal Hendrix) ridden by Gaj Riossa, Lavesther sport-spr (Elvis ter Putte out of Vesther keur sport-spr prest by Guidam, bred by Geert Moerings) ridden by Bas Moerings, and Loekie-Douglas (Douglas out of Vinci prest by Corland, bred by VOF Platenkamp & Evenhuis Services) ridden by Hilde Woudstra, delivered the best performance among the seven-year-olds at the WBFSH Studbooks Jumping Global Champions Trophy.

Best Performance
The best performance was delivered by Hilde Woudstra with Loekie-Douglas, who only incurred a one-time fault in this serious 1.45m final. "I am very happy with how my horse jumped here every day. Team manager Eric van der Vleuten gave us useful tips, and I certainly thought about those. If I had listened a bit better, we wouldn't have had that time fault," laughs Hilde. "Loekie-Douglas has a great attitude, and we have high expectations for her in the future. It was very nice to participate in this new championship here; it is a valuable experience, and the atmosphere was very good!" Bas Moerings had one unfortunate fault with Lavesther, while Gaj Riossa had two with Let's Wait and See HX. With this, the KWPN team remained three penalty points ahead of AES and Selle Français.
