The class M of the Anemone Horse Trucks Stallion Competition Dressage in Ermelo was won, just like the previous selection, by Painted Black son Nalegro. Under the reigning world champion Charlotte Fry, the stallion scored 88.2 points.

Marian Dorresteijn and Sven Rothenberger awarded 9s tonight for the impressive canter and the overall impression of Nalegro (Painted Black out of Jalegrofleur ster pref PROK by Negro, bred by Joop Hanse from Burgh-Haamstede). "This is truly a powerhouse, a horse with an incredibly strong hind leg," Marian enthuses. "The walk has a good overstep and a lot of power. He has a very active way of walking and remains very clean. The trot is characterized by strength, showing the ability to easily come back onto the hind leg. Today, the canter was a highlight with a lot of ground cover and good extensions, followed by a beautiful return to the hind leg."

Harmonious Dark Rousseau
The Anemone Horse Trucks Stallion Competition Dressage class L was won last year by Kim Alting and Dettori son Dark Rousseau (out of Westside ster PROK by Rousseau, bred by H.G.A. Verdellen from Hegelsom). With 84.6 points, this combination secured second place today. "This stallion stands out especially for his harmony. He is light in the contact and responsive to aids. This horse is very light-footed in his movement but still has a beautiful expression. The walk is pure with a good overstep. In trot, we saw a beautiful picture to watch; he is tactful and could sometimes be a bit more resolute from the hind leg. The same image was seen in the canter; he was very well adjustable in the transitions from canter to walk."

Network
Under Femke de Laat, Network (Just Wimphof out of Keyveniz Texel stb-ext pref D-OC by Negro, breeders D. Staller and D. Broekema from Westbeemster) completed the top three. With a consistent score sheet, this stallion scored 84.2 points. "This horse has a lot of eagerness to move and a good use of the hind leg. The walk is diligent with a good overstep; in the test, he was sometimes a fraction hurried and could take a bit more calmness. In trot, he is active, shows beautiful transitions, and also demonstrates that he can transfer the weight well onto the hindquarters. The canter has good carriage."
