The fall performance test has added several interesting options for the upcoming breeding season for show jumping horse breeders. The test has produced twenty KWPN-approved stallions, including top scorers Cero Blue TN and Sambucci de Muze.

The six-year-old Cero Blue TN (Chacoon Blue out of Die Cera by Balou du Rouet), bred by Harm Thormählen, Team Nijhof, and Kees van den Oetelaar, demonstrated exceptional qualities with an unprecedented total score of 91 points. He received a 9 for all jumping components and even a 9.5 for technique. "He does everything very well," said chairman Cor Loeffen about this Holstein-bred top talent. The Belgian breeding industry also contributed interesting KWPN-approved stallions to this test. The five-year-old Sambucci de Muze (Hunter’s Scendro out of Malissa de Muze by Vigo d’Arsouilles), bred by Joris De Brabander and VDL Stud, achieved an impressive total score of 88. "It is very nice to see that stallions that have already made a positive impression in sport with young horses and are genetically very interesting are now successfully participating in the KWPN performance test. This also applies to Sambucci de Muze, who rides very well, has a strong focus on obstacles, and jumps with a lot of power."

Quality across the board
Among the three-year-old stallions, the impressive Dominator Z son Pinacolada van Seldsum (out of Nabalia SMH ster PROK D-OC by Namelus R, bred by Minne and Esther Hovenga) scored the highest with 86 points. In total, twelve three-year-olds and eight four- to six-year-olds have been registered. Fourteen of them are still (partly) owned by the breeder. While Chacoon Blue (3), Aganix du Seigneur (2), and F-One USA (2) had multiple sons approved, the diversity in bloodlines and aptitude is a strong point of this broad collection of stallions. Leading bloodlines from the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and France are well represented. The reports will be published as soon as possible.
