The first viewing started well today in Ermelo. About twenty dressage stallions earned an invitation for the second viewing, including three from Bordeaux.

In terms of bloodlines, it was a varied day today. The stallion inspection committee, consisting of chairman Bart Bax, Johan Hamminga, and Wouter Plaizier, selected twenty stallions out of a total for the KWPN Stallion Show in Den Bosch (January 31 - February 3).

Strong start
"We look back on a very successful day. I was able to work well with my colleagues; we complement each other, and positive discussions arose. What worked very well today is that the stallions were presented in smaller groups than before. This allowed us ample time for the assessment of the stallions, and there was a lot of calm in the arena. This particularly benefited the assessment of the walk," reflects Bart Bax, who was in action for the first time today as a member and chairman of the stallion inspection committee. "The quality of the horses also gives good hope. We have certainly seen a set of complete stallions, and there are also a few stallions that we would like to give a chance in Den Bosch. Our goal is to assemble a good collection for the second viewing, so that we can then select them for the performance test. So today was a very hopeful start!" Bordeaux and Sir Donnerhall I each had three sons selected. Secret and Total Hope each had two.
