On Saturday, January 6, the first inspection of the harness horse stallions will take place at the KWPN center in Ermelo. It promises to be a wonderful day, with a total of 32 stallions on the starting list. Who are the top sires of these young stallions this year?

The first inspection marks the beginning of the stallion selection process. From here, the best stallions will be invited to the second inspection, which takes place on Saturday, February 3, during the KWPN Stallion Show 2024 in Den Bosch. On this harness horse evening, in addition to the second inspection, you will be treated to a program with the harness horse in the spotlight. More information on this will be available soon!

Lanto HBC, the main provider
With six sons, Lanto HBC (Delviro HBC out of Urby V star pref by Patijn, breeder D. van der Boon from Noardburgum) is the main provider of the first inspection for harness horses on January 6, followed by Icellie (Bocellie out of Petrose star pref by Fabricus, breeder J.R. Bosch) and Cizandro (Waldemar out of Uizandra star pref by Manno, bred by the Den Otter brothers) with four sons each. In third place is Idol (Manno out of Boukje keur pref by Plain's Liberator, breeder P. de Groot) with three sons.

The program
The morning program begins at 09:30 with linear scoring of the stallions on the street, which is located on the short side of the hall. The stallions appear without a break for the jury on the street, where, of course, the public can also be present. After the break at 12:45, the stallions are presented in groups, and the committee assesses the stallions in walk and trot. After this assessment, the results are announced, and the stallions are referred to Den Bosch. A cap requirement applies to the handlers of a stallion. The starting list is now available online.

Watching the stallions
The public is welcome to see the stallions in person. Can't be there? The first inspection can also be watched live on kwpn.tv.

The KWPN Stallion Show is gearing up again. The world's largest stallion inspection takes place from January 31 to February 3 in Den Bosch. Ticket sales have already started, and KWPN members naturally receive a discount for the KWPN Stallion Show. It promises to be four fantastic days.
