Edmundo's son, Odin, secured his third pre-selection win today in the KWPN Gelders Paard Stallion Competition, earning him the title of champion in the L class. The victory in the Z class once again went to Mexpression. All Gelderland stallions will showcase their abilities during the KWPN Stallion Show in presentation format.

The final of the stallion competition for all Gelderland horses and the dressage horses in the L class will take place in Groningen. For all other classes, as in previous years, the finals will be decided during the KWPN Stallion Show. Of course, the four-year-olds will be in action in Den Bosch, but in the form of a presentation.

Odin
Jan Pen and Marian Dorresteijn took on the evaluation of the Gelderland stallions in the L and Z classes. Odin, presented by Dirk Jan van de Water, received scores of 8.5 four times and 8.3 once. The total score reached 84.6, making this combination the winner of both the third competition round and the final. "This was again a very enjoyable test to judge. A horse that excels in its suppleness and concentration on the rider. A very fluent test with beautiful elements," commented the jury afterward.

Mexpression
Under Dennis Ausma, Mexpression (Expression out of Colinda ster PROK by Koss, bred by H.A. Bruil from Terborg) scored 81.2 points today. With an 8.3 for both the trot and harmony, this marked his second victory in the KWPN Gelders Paard Stallion Competition Z class. "This is a horse that particularly presents a beautiful image in the ring with his commitment. He has a nice forward drive and a lot of suppleness in the body. His trot has a beautiful impulsion, rhythm, and lightness. It's a pleasant sight."

Driving
In the driving test in the Z class, Eebert's son Matiz (Eebert out of Honey ster PROK by Vitens, bred by G.H. Hofs from Varsseveld) scored 82 points, earning a remarkable 9 for his walk. Jan Pen was assisted by Jaap Boom in this category. "We saw a beautiful test, a test that is very challenging to perform in this narrow arena. We observed a horse with a very nice spacious walk. In the trot, we would have liked to see a bit more impulsion and room. He has a very nice collected canter for the carriage. In short, a horse that is easy to work with."
