Stallion Competition Groningen: New Pleasure VDL wins third Competition round in class M
What an achievement! Hessel Hoekstra guided New Pleasure to victory for the third time in a row in the Blom Stallion Competition class M. Alex David Gill completed the success for VDL Stud by finishing fourth in the 13-horse jump-off with Night Life VDL.
There was excellent riding tonight in the Blom Stallion Competition class M, with thirteen out of sixteen combinations reaching the jump-off, of which eleven remained faultless again. With determination, the riders each broke the time, until Hessel Hoekstra set his time. With an attacking ride and the very easy-going New Pleasure VDL (by For Pleasure out of Lady-A ter Putte by Diamant de Semilly, breeders Familie De Maertelaere/Stal Van de Zuidakker), he claimed victory for the third time this season in class M.
The second place went to the very athletic and patent jumper New Star (El Barone 111 out of Bola elite pref prest IBOP-spr PROK by Vainquer, breeder and owner J. van Kooten BV) under Max van de Poll. Third was the AES-approved Dee Do It (by Dominator) with Niels Jonkers in the saddle. With seemingly great ease, Alex David Gill rode Night Life VDL (Erco van ’t Roosakker out of Ialba VDL elite IBOP-spr PROK by Arezzo VDL, breeder and owner VDL Stud) to the fourth prize. The stallion was skillfully guided through the jump-off and finished at the top of the Blom Stallion Competition class M standings for the third time in a row.
