Hessel Hoekstra must have thought, 'what I can do with New Pleasure VDL, I can do with Stargos VDL too,' and it turned out to be true. Just like in the Blom Stallion Competition class M, Hessel Hoekstra sealed the deal in the Blom Stallion Competition class Z/ZZ with a hattrick. He and Stargos VDL were once again unbeatable.

The KWPN-approved stallion Stargos VDL (Stakkato Gold out of Estella sport-spr by Conthargos, breeder W. Winkeler from Herzlake) shows he's made of the right stuff. He is careful and athletic, jumps with great power, and thinks fantastically along with his rider. All of this made him invincible in the five-horse jump-off of the Blom Stallion Competition class Z/ZZ.

The second place went to the Comme le Coeur (sired by Comme il Faut), approved for several foreign studbooks, presented by Lennard de Boer. They also recorded a very fast jump-off. And for the second time in a row, stood behind Hoekstra and Stargos VDL. Third was Marco Sas with Defender DVS Z. This KWPN and Zangersheide-approved stallion by Dominator Z (out of Atureusa keur sport-spr by Padinus, breeder Van der Schaar, owner H.C. Verhagen) recorded a double clear round but didn't come close to the fastest time.
