After the presentation of the premium stallions in this edition, their one-year-older predecessors followed: the stallions that earned the KWPN breeding license in 2023. Under the watchful eyes of the breeding audience, the four- and five-year-old stallions jumped a course in the Brabanthallen with their own riders.

Wout-Jan van der Schans and Eric van der Vleuten provided explanations about the aspects that caught the attention of the stallion inspection committee during the performance test. The young stallions demonstrated good ridability and workability in the impressive surroundings, providing an informative overview of their qualities.

Horse for the highest level
One notable presentation was the Emerald van ’t Ruytershof son Pepper (out of Absie by Corland, bred/owned by E. Enzerink), presented by Patrick Lemmen. Wout-Jan van der Schans praised the carefulness and ease with which the stallion shifts gears over the jump. The chairman of the stallion inspection committee also sees in Drummer 2000 TN Z (Diamant de Semilly out of China Touch Hero by Chin Chin, bred by Stud 2000 BV, owned by Team Nijhof) a horse for the highest level. "That is a statement we always have to be a bit cautious with, but the powerful way he jumps here under Kars Bonhof promises a lot of potential."

Positive development
Pagani of the Paddocks (Catoki out of Lewinksy by Corofino I, bred by A. Mornie, Maldegem, owned by JN Nelson, Oregon) navigated the course effortlessly under Pieter Keunen, jumping each obstacle in the same manner. The stallion inspection committee members discussed how the Kitt SB son Porsche SB (out of Legend Power SIH Sp star EPTM-spr by Vagabond de la Pomme, bred by J. Hiemstra & L.Hiemstra-Bleylie, owned by Stal Brouwer) showed continuous improvement during the performance test, praising the scope, impulsion, and good attitude of the stallion presented by Suzanne Tepper.

Power
Eric van der Vleuten complimented the attitude of Power Pool JR (Liverpool out of Zerna star pref IBOP-spr sport-spr by Jacomar, bred/owned by J. Regterschot), presented by Cristel Kalf. "A very consistent horse that focuses well on his work and shows a lot of power. He does everything so easily that he seems much older than four years." The five-year-old Toledo VDL (Tobago Z out of Caroline Z by Chellano Z, bred by T. van Bruggen, owned by VDL Stud) displayed high quality under Elisah Aarts. "A careful horse with a good canter in which he changes very easily. The stallion jumps with good technique and a lot of power," according to Eric van der Vleuten.

A detailed report will follow in the upcoming issue of the KWPN Magazine, and this live broadcast presentation will be available on KWPN.tv.
