Effective July 1, Roelof Bos will be appointed General Director by the KWPN board. Since the departure of Bastiaan Meerburg, Roelof, in collaboration with the management team, has already been handling the directorial duties. This arrangement has been so satisfactory to all parties that it will now be made permanent.

Roelof brings extensive experience in association management. Before joining KWPN, he worked for a long time in the corporate banking division of Rabobank. He looks forward to further developing the KWPN organization in his new role. “Over the past period, I have enjoyed a very positive working relationship with my colleagues. In close consultation with the General Board, we have strengthened the foundation of our office organization and association. The world around us has changed significantly, bringing many challenges but also numerous opportunities. Our focus remains on the core tasks of the association, such as registration and selection, and promoting our fantastic KWPN brand. Enthusiastic breeders and members are what drive us!”

Board Chairman Andries van Daalen said, “In the past few months, Roelof, together with the management team, has excellently managed the organization. We have seen him grow in this role and believe he is the right person to lead and represent the organization as General Director. Roelof is a pragmatic and honest individual with a deep passion for the equine sector, which he knows thoroughly. We are pleased that he is taking on this role and have full confidence that he will perform with excellence.”
