KWPN approved stallion I Am Codex passed away
The KWPN-approved stallion I Am Codex (Codex One out of Capitola Z by Calvaro Z) has passed away. The eleven-year-old stallion developed severe colic last week, as rider Doron Kuipers wrote on social media.
Two surgeries were performed, but his intestines did not recover, and the horse passed away. Kuipers praised the horse's tremendous fighting spirit, attitude, and character, which he successfully brought to the 1.55m level. The combination participated in the Dutch jumping championships in May.
The stallion was owned by his breeder Tinus van der Bruggen. This spring, he competed in Belgium and France and earned three prizes in the 2* categories in Mechelen in December.
