Offspring report

Offspring (foals) in 1973:

Sufficiently good type. Good size. Some foals seem a big leggy, but given the broodmares, that is not a concern. Several foals have a poorly muscled neck with the tendency toward an under-neck. Several foals are over-built. Good walk. The hind leg steps well under the body. Some foals could have a bit more suspension in the pastern. The trot is correct but could have slightly more scope and power.



Offspring, 1975 (complete collection):

Outstanding collection. Uniform and pronounced riding type. Some foals are a bit leggy, and some have a somewhat poorly muscled neck. Good height. In the walk, the hind leg steps well under the body. Overstep. The trot is correct with scope and shoulder freedom. Lucky Boy xx was bred to the right mares: excellent broodmares with abundant breadth and depth. Among the older offspring, the two-year-olds are remarkably good. Excellent riding horse conformation with size and good body proportions. The stallion passes on more mass than one would expect. The legs are tight with mostly good conformation. The foals clearly have riding horse gaits.

Keur predicate awarded, 1976:

Shortly after the stallion was approved in the fall of 1970, Mr. H.B.M. Borghuis of Denekamp became his registered party via the B. Seldenrijk - H. partnership of Luggenhorst. The first spring, a serious accident threatened a catastrophic end to the stallion's career. After months of rest and proper veterinary care, Lucky Boy xx recovered. That year, he bred 28 mares. He stood at stud for four more seasons, breeding a total of 744 mares. He already boasts 7 approved sons and 353 registered foals. This year, 15 of his 3-year-old daughters earned the ster predicate.
