Performance test report

Conformation
Apache is a sufficiently developed stallion but should be longer lined. The head is attractive. The neck has good length and comes out deep from the chest; the topline needs more muscling. The wither is well developed. The shoulder has sufficient length and good placement. The back is short and dropped. The croup has good length; it is sloped and has good muscling. The front leg has good length and is correct. The hind leg is correct, with long pasterns. The legs are sufficiently developed and of good quality. The hooves are small.   

Lineage
Apache's sire is UB 40, a son of the renowned dressage horse sire and former grand prix competitor Jazz. Exported to the USA in 2005, UB 40 is a popular breeding stallion in that country. His achievements include numerous wins in competitions for young dressage horses. Apache's dam Tolanda (s.Krack C), an elite mare, performed a very good IBOP test. Her sire Krack C is a celebrated name in dressage.  In addition to competing successfully in the grand prix under Anky van Grunsven, he boasts numerous approved sons. Apache's granddam, the ster preferent mare Olanda, is by Inspekteur, a former small tour competitor. Apache's great-granddam Kolda, a ster mare by El Corona (s.Amor), produced offspring including Ramon (s.Métall), who is classified at the ZZ-advanced level. 

Inspection Report
Apache is an honest, reliable, and intelligent stallion with a very good temperament. He is very willing to work and has good trainability. The walk is pure and has good scope. The trot has more than sufficient scope and front leg use. In the lengthenings, the stallion easily becomes somewhat wide behind. The canter has good scope, power, and carriage. The stallion moves with more than sufficient body position and balance, and abundant elasticity. Apache has abundant talent for dressage and gives his rider a good feeling. 

Stable Behavior 
Apache is an honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet in his stall.   

Veterinary Report 
On 7 November 2008, the stallion presented mild symptoms of colic, for which no direct cause could be determined. The symptoms eventually subsided. No abnormalities otherwise.  

Semen Inspection
Expected fertility class: good.  

Breeding Recommendation
Apache can add good temperament, trainability, and sharpness to dressage horse breeding. He is best paired with well-developed mares with good rectangular-shaped conformation.

Dam Report
Tolanda is a well-developed mare with very good riding horse type and sufficient rectangular-shaped conformation. The head is attractive. The poll is long with a good throatlatch. The neck is long with good muscling and is sufficiently vertical. The wither is well developed and long. The shoulder is long and straight. The back is slightly dropped. The loins are slightly weak. The croup is sufficiently sloped and long. The legs are correct. The pasterns have good length. The hooves are well developed with good shape. The legs are clean and tight. The walk has scope; it is pure with an active hind leg and abundant shoulder freedom. The trot has scope and abundant push, with correct leg use and elasticity. The canter has sufficient scope and push.
