Exterior:
Nottingham VDL is a generously developed stallion standing well in a rectangular model. He has an expressive head. The neck is of good length with a slightly heavy head–neck connection. The neck is well-shaped, of good length, and well-muscled. The shoulder is of good length and well-angled. The withers are well-developed and of good length. The back is of good length and well-muscled. The loins are well-muscled and well-connected. The croup is well-positioned, of ample length, and well-muscled. The gluteal muscle is of good length. From the side, the forelegs are correctly set and correct from the front view. The hindlegs are correctly set. The pasterns are of good length and correctly set. The limbs are well-developed and of good quality. The hooves are well-developed, well-shaped, and of good quality.
The heels are sufficiently developed.

Pedigree:
Nottingham VDL is the seventh KWPN-approved son of the Preferent Grand Prix stallion Arezzo VDL. Arezzo VDL has proven himself in both sport and breeding, producing multiple international showjumpers and performing at the highest level in competition with Jessica Kurten.
The dam of Nottingham VDL is the keur IBOP (jumping) mare Ersina, a daughter of the preferential showjumping sire Indoctro from the renowned Sina line. She achieved a very good IBOP score, notably receiving an 8.5 for technique, rideability, and jumping talent, and a 9 for rideability and trainability. Ersina’s oldest son, Zirocco Blue VDL offspring Innocence, is currently competing internationally at 1.35 m level. Granddam Kersina is a preferent performance mare by the preferential sire Emilion. In addition to Nottingham VDL’s dam, she produced Alpha VDL (v. Corland), who competed at Grand Prix level, and the internationally competing Corland daughter Rocksina. Kersina also produced H (v. Indoctro), Secretly (v. Ahorn), and Viktor (v. Corland), competing at 1.45 m level. Great-granddam Obligeant is the foundation for several Grand Prix horses, including her son Piccolino (v. Notaris) ridden by Rene Tebbel. Other preferential stallions in Nottingham VDL’s pedigree include Farn, Marco Polo, and Sinaeda.

Performance report:
Nottingham VDL is an honest and rideable stallion with a good attitude. He shows a strong willingness to work and is highly trainable. The walk is sufficiently spacious and supple. The trot is sufficiently spacious and adequately powerful. In motion, he maintains sufficient posture and balance. The canter is active with sufficient scope and hind-leg bend, demonstrating good balance and clean changes. Nottingham VDL jumps well with his body moving upwards, with sufficient to good reflexes and ample body usage. He has good technique, appears careful, and demonstrates considerable scope and overview. As a showjumper, he shows sufficient to excellent talent and gives the rider a confident feeling.

Honest and reliable stallion, easy to handle and calm in the stable.
