Performance test report

Exterior:
New Orleans is a well-developed, appealing stallion with a rectangular conformation and a slightly downward body direction. He has an expressive head. The neck is of good length with a correct head-neck connection. The neck is well-shaped, of good length, and well-muscled, though it emerges slightly deep from the chest. The shoulder has good length and placement. The withers are sufficiently developed and extend well into the back. The back is of good length and sufficiently muscled. The loins are sufficiently muscled and well-connected. The croup is well-positioned, of good length, and well-muscled. The thigh muscle extends sufficiently. The foreleg is correctly positioned from the side and slightly toeing-in when viewed from the front. The hind leg is correctly positioned. The pasterns in both front and hind legs are of good length and correctly set. The foundation is well-developed and of good quality. The feet are well-developed, well-shaped, and of good quality. The heels are normally developed.

Pedigree:
New Orleans is sired by Blue Hors Farrell, the Fürstenball son who was named premium stallion at the 2013 Hanoverian stallion licensing and later became champion of the performance test. Blue Hors Farrell is currently competing internationally at Intermediaire I level and has already achieved several notable victories under Nanna Skodborg Merrald.
New Orleans’s dam, Gita A, is an elite IBOP mare by the preferent stallion Jazz. Gita A achieved excellent results during studbook inspection with 85 points for movement and scored an impressive 91.5 points in her IBOP test, where she received a 10 for her trot. Further down the pedigree, we find the preferent elite mare Tavita Platinum, a daughter of the top sire Ferro (preferent). Tavita Platinum is the granddam of several successful sport horses: the international Intermediaire I horse Eros Easter A (by Wynton), the Small Tour horse Grandeur A (by Jazz), and two Z-level dressage horses by Wynton and Jazz. The dam line of New Orleans continues with the preferent stallion G. Ramiro Z and Doruto. The preferent keur mare Wanda (by Doruto) is the dam and granddam of several high-level sport horses.

Performance test report:
New Orleans is an honest, somewhat dominant stallion with a good work ethic. He can be a bit distracted at times and tends to grind his teeth, but remains manageable and trainable. The walk is rhythmical, active, and has good ground cover. The trot has a lot of cadence, good push-off, and a hindleg that is well-engaged and easy to influence. The canter shows good ground cover, a powerful push-off, and good to very good balance. The stallion
shows strong aptitude for collection, though he could show a bit more suppleness and flexion in the joints. As a dressage horse, New Orleans has excellent potential and gives his rider a very good feeling.

Stable behavior:
An honest and reliable stallion, easy to handle and calm in the stable.

The neck is sufficiently shaped, of good length, and sufficiently muscled.
The withers are well-developed and of good length.
The shoulder is of good length and well-positioned.
The back is of good length and well-muscled.
The loins are well-muscled and well-connected.
The croup is well-positioned, of good length, and well-muscled.
The thigh muscle is sufficiently long.
The foreleg is slightly turned out when viewed from the front and correctly positioned from the side.
The hind leg is slightly sickle-hocked.
The pasterns are of good length and correctly positioned.
The hooves are sufficiently developed and of sufficient quality, with slightly low heels.

The walk has good ground cover and sufficient suppleness.
The trot has good ground cover, with very good posture and an actively engaging hind leg.
