Ultimo is a royally developed, long legged, long lined, riding type stallion that stands in good rectangular model. The shoulder is long and the neck comes from deep in the chest. The hindleg is long. The heels are low.

Pedigree information
Ultimo"s sire Phin Phin is by the KWPN accredited Holsteiner stallion Chin Chin, who became a legendary jumper with his strong performance in the World Cup finals and the Seoul Olympic Games. Phin Phin is one of his many offspring that jump internationally. Ultimo is out of Phin Phin"s first KWPN foal crop.
Dam Irence (keur preferent) also has extremely much quality and suppleness in her movement and showed much to very much talent as a jumper during her test. Her sire Burggraaf is one of the hallmark KWPN sires that has bred well in combination with the thoroughbred Cadmus xx. Irence has produced 6 offspring (4 colts and 2 fillies), of which one is star and two are 2nd round stallions.
Grandmother Terence (star) is the grandmother of the national jumper Merlinda (s Burggraaf) and great grandmother of the Z2-dressage horse and also Z-jumper Koos (s Burggraaf). Great grandmother H Karla (preferent), unknown on paper, is purported to be a Gelderse mare by Boudewijn 1199 Sgldt. She is the grandmother of the Z2-dressage horse and also Z-jumper Gerwin (s Pion) and of the Z1-dressage horse Harald (s Candyboy). She is grandmother to the Z1-dressage horse Ivo (s Candyboy).

Performance
Ultimo is an honest, reliable stallion. The stallion has more than sufficient willingness to work and works sufficiently.
The walk is pure, has sufficient scope, and should be more active. The trot has sufficient scope and sufficient power. Ultimo is difficult to close at the trot and he carries himself moderately. The canter is very big with sufficient impulsion. The stallion is difficult to close at the canter and should be more active. Ultimo is on the forehand during the trot and the canter. Ultimo has moderate talent for dressage and gives his rider a moderate feeling.
Ultimo jumps with more than sufficient take-off and should jump back more. The foreleg bends more than sufficiently. The stallion shows good bascule and opens sufficiently behind. The finish of the jump is varied. Sometimes he twists his body over the jump. Ultimo seems very careful and has much to very much scope. Ultimo has much talent for jumping and gives his rider a more than sufficient feeling.
His training was adjusted during the week of May 5th because of thrush in the hollow of the pastern.
