Performance Ermelo 1983
Steady stallion that loves both work and life. He is always in a good mood. He is cheerful, playful, friendly and honest. Very attentive, which sometimes results in his looking around. He has a healthy dose of impertinence. He had been bitted up at the start of the test. He holds himself in the topline, which caused him to have difficulty in bending and sometimes caused him to be irregular. He is wide behind. He has much balance and sufficient scope in his movements. The walk is easy and more than sufficient. The trot got more powerful during the course of the test. Toward the end of the test the trot was very regular with nice balance. He was maneuvered well in the driving test. He does good in front of the sled. He gives his all in front of the show cart. He should be more powerful behind but his performance is more than sufficient. He is very willing to work and finds the work very easy. He enjoys work, has desire to go and fairly lively ear play. He has more than sufficient talent for harness. He was in good condition upon arrival. He only ate oats and hay, no pellets. Water was rationed. His condition changed little. Stall behavior is calm.

Offspring 1985 (foals)
This stallion showed a very uniform collection of sufficiently developed foals that are very tuig type with sufficient quality. The group of picked foals had a few short-coupled foals. In this group the average quality was a little less. The head is well formed and lean but sometimes a little long, but it always has a clear expression. The neck is well formed and is carried extremely well in the trot. When stood up, there were a few cases of a ewe-neck, which disappeared when the foals moved. The wither is sufficiently developed but should sometimes be a little longer. The shoulder placement and development are good. The croup is well muscled, wide and with good shape but should be longer. The foreleg is correct in stance and build, sometimes a little straight. The hindleg is also build well, generally a little long. The group of picked foals contained several curbs. This did not occur with the selected foals. The heel is generally well developed. The walk is sufficient to good. The walk has the appeal needed by a harness horse. There is good cadence and balance, good suspension and good use of the hindleg. A few foals were narrow at the heels, which could also have been caused by the terrain, which had been damaged by flooding and in which the foals could not present themselves optimally.
The veterinary remarks pertain to the hock that sometimes should have been harder and finished more tightly. Also a few of the picked foals had a curb.

Approval term 1989
A first approval term of three years (starting in 1990). The stallion was approved for three years on the basis of the information that has been collected on the use of this stallion. Several of his offspring are already performing in harness. A moderate stance must be taken in regards to his conformation heritability.

Keur 1991
The stallion Wouter was awarded the keur predicate because his positive heritability both in sport and breeding has been determined. With 164 points he is in third place on the index and this clearly shows that the stallion strongly improves on performance. With six approved sons, 48 ster mares and 15 keur mares out of 77 studbook mares it also shows that the stallion has a positive influence on the conformation of the population.
