Very friendly with excellent humor. He was obedient, honest and attentive. He had already finished a racing career at the start of the test. He was very reliable and steady. He enjoyed working and was very willing to work. He was in good condition upon arrival and remained that way. He had excellent stall behavior and ate normally.

Conformation description

He is a strong, massive stallion in good Thoroughbred type. The front is appealing; the hindquarter is strongly muscled. The base has quality and substance.

Offspring report

Offspring 1986 (foals)
This Thoroughbred stallion showed a collection of well-developed, sufficient riding type foals. Though the foals were sufficiently uniform, the selected foals appeared to have more refinement than the picked foals. For half thoroughbred foals the heads should be a little more refined but they do have sufficient expression. The neck has good shape and is well carried but is sometimes a little deep from the chest. The wither is sufficient in length and development. The shoulder should often slope more. The back and loins should often be stronger and better connected. The croup has good shape with a sufficiently long hamstring. Other than a few that are straight, the foreleg is correct and well built. The hindlegs are long with a small angle. Several times the top of the splint bone is somewhat coarsely developed. The pastern is long but for a good angle with the cannon. The walk is sufficient in scope; the hindleg should be brought underneath more. The foals trot with scope, ease, much cadence and regularity but - just as in the walk - the hindleg should come underneath further. The picked foals sometimes had a somewhat coarse transition from the cannon to the fetlock.

In short: well developed, riding type foals that show refinement and have sufficient movement but that should be stronger behind.

Loss of approval 1998
Because of the evaluation of his 11-year old offspring, Able Albert xx definitely loses his approval status. He had already been exported. As is evident from the sport index, he did not succeed in having a positive influence on the breeding of jumper or dressage horses. From his conformation index it is apparent that he did not improve on movement.
