Performance 1987
Impudent, honest, holds back. He was saddle broke at the beginning of the test. He resisted during the first 60 days of the test. In certain moods he really held back and reared often. His behavior improved during the last month. He has powerful gaits. When he wants to go forward he carries himself well. When he does not want to go, he is too much on the forehand. The walk is big. The trot has tact, scope and is carried. The canter is nice and carried. He holds himself through the back when jumping. He has more than sufficient ability and moderate technique. He has a regular canter during the cross-country but he should stretch out more. He should have more suppleness. During the first part of the test he was moderately to sufficiently willing to work, later this changed to sufficiently. The work is light for him. He has very much talent for dressage, sufficient talent for both jumping and cross-country. He was in good condition upon arrival and remained that way. He was fed more than averagely. He was a little apprehensive in his stall.

Bustron showed a collection of long-lined, well developed foals. One can say that the foals are of the riding type and are stylish looking with a good front. The foals have pretty, appealing heads with an expressive eye. The neck is well carried, has good length and transitions into a long poll. The wither has good length and is well developed. The shoulder has good length and sufficient slope. The back is often long while the connection to the loins could be stronger. This is less true of the selected foals. The croup has good length and muscling but should be more typical for the picked foals. The foreleg is developed and correct with a well-developed knee. Among the picked foals the foreleg has a little less substance but in general it is hard, well developed and lean. In some cases there was a tendency to be a little back at the knee. The hindleg is often sickle hocked, sometimes also long. This remark pertains more toward the picked foals. The walk is sufficient even though it should show more energy, scope and freedom of the shoulder. The trot has sufficient scope, but the hindleg should go under the body better and with more power. In a few cases the trot swung.

In short: well developed, riding type, stylish foals that should be stronger behind in movement.
