Performance test report

Conformation
Bon Bravour is a well-developed stallion with good dressage horse conformation. The head is attractive. The neck has good length and muscling but comes out deep from the chest. The wither is very well-developed and has good length. The shoulder has good length and placement. The back has good length and muscling. The croup has good placement, length, and muscling. The front leg has more than sufficient length and slightly straight pasterns. The hind leg is correct. The legs show more than sufficient development and quality. The hooves are more than sufficiently developed.

Lineage
Bon Bravour's sire, the black stallion Painted Black, is by the preferent grand prix stallion Gribaldi. Painted Black is a successful international Grand Prix dressage horse under Anky van Grunsven. Bon Bravour's dam Odette is by Chronos, another successful sporthorse. Odette is a keur preferent mare, who won the Reserve Champion title at the Central Inspection in Brabant and ended in the top of the standings at the National Mare Inspection. In addition to Bon Bravour, she produced a Z-level dressage horse by Ferro, a National Mare Inspection daughter by Ferro, an elite mare with good test results by Jazz, and a second round viewing stallion by Jazz. Bon Bravour's granddam Hinsley is ster mare by the Anglo-Arabian stallion Linards x. The dam-line continues with Christel, a keur mare by Souvenir, who was the champion of the Central Inspection in North Brabant. Farther back in the dam-line is Velibor, a preferent prestatie mare by Doruto and the dam of the grand prix dressage horse Joy (s.Ulft). Velibor is followed by Kloriade, a ster mare by Frappant. 

Inspection Report
Bon Bravour is an honest and reliable stallion with a good temperament. He is very willing to work and has good trainability. The walk is pure with good scope but should show more activity at times. The trot has more than sufficient to good scope. The hind leg bends and steps well under the body but should be slightly quicker. The stallion is easy to collect, and his hind leg actively steps under his body. The canter has good scope and carriage. Bon Bravour moves with more than sufficient elasticity and good carriage and balance. He has abundant talent for dressage and gives his rider a good feeling.

Stable Behavior
Bon Bravour is an honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet in his stall.

Breeding Recommendation
Bon Bravour can contribute carriage and movement to dressage horse breeding. He is best suited for mares with a hind leg that actively steps under the body.

Odette is a very well developed mare with good riding horse type and sufficient rectangular-shaped conformation. She is a quality horse with presence. The head is attractive. The poll has sufficient length. The neck is sufficiently long with good muscling and vertical placement. The wither is sufficiently developed. The shoulder is long and sloped. The back has good length and muscling. The loins are well muscled. The croup is sufficiently sloped and long. The front leg is correct. The hind leg is correct. The pastern angle is correct, and the pasterns are sufficiently long. The hooves are slightly small. The legs are clean and tight. The walk is big and pure, with good shoulder freedom. The trot has sufficient scope and flat front leg use. The hind leg shows sufficient to good bend. The canter has moderate shoulder freedom, with sufficient to good bend of the hind leg.

In 1999, Odette achieved the following results in the five-week mare test:
