Performance test report

Conformation
Carlton Hill VDL is a well-developed stallion with good dressage horse conformation. The head is long and sufficiently attractive. The poll is short. The neck has more than sufficient length and muscling but comes out deep from the chest. The wither is very well developed and has more than sufficient length. The shoulder has good length and more than sufficient placement. The back has abundant length and sufficient muscling but is slightly dropped. The loins are more than sufficiently muscled and connected. The croup is sloped and has good length with more than sufficient muscling. The front leg is camped-under and toed-out. The hind leg is sickle-hocked. The legs are well developed and of more than sufficient quality. The hooves are broad with low heels.

Lineage
Carlton Hill VDL is by Uphill, who ranks number one in the index. Currently, Uphill is excelling in the small tour. Carlton Hill VDL's dam is Rose of Vincent, a daughter of the grand prix dressage stallion Vincent (s.Pretendent). Rose of Vincent also produced Bonbini (s.Oscar), who was the champion of the 2009 Central Inspection in Groningen. Other horses in the dam-line include Guida, a keur sport (dres) mare by Zebulon (s.Oldenburg). Guida, who is classified at Z2-level dressage, is also the dam of a Z-level dressage horse by Houston. Carlton Hill VDL's great-granddam Beauty, whose sire is Symfonie (s.Makelaar), also produced Z-level dressage horses by Bergerac and Ferro. The dam-line continues with Rozate, a ster preferent mare by Mardus. 

Inspection Report
Carlton Hill VDL is an honest, reliable stallion with a good temperament; however, he is easily distracted. He is very willing to work and has good trainability. The walk is pure and has good scope. The trot is powerful and rhythmic with good scope; however, it needs more carriage. The canter has good scope but should be more light-footed. Carlton Hill VDL moves with more than sufficient body position and good balance. He shows abundant talent for dressage and gives his rider a good feeling.

Stable Behavior
Carlton Hill VDL is an honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet in his stall.

Rose of Vincent is a well-developed mare with good rectangular-shaped conformation. She has sufficient presence. Her head is slightly large. The head-neck connection is sufficiently light, and the poll has good length. The neck has good shape and length, and the top-line is well muscled. The wither shows good development and ties in nicely to the back. The shoulder has good length and placement. The back is shaped well. The loins are slightly tight. The croup has sufficient slope and good length. The front leg is correct when viewed from the side and the front. The hind leg is correct. The pasterns have good length and are correct. The hooves are well developed with sufficient heels. The legs are of good quality: sufficiently tight with appropriate circumference. The walk is pure and powerful with sufficient scope. The trot has good scope with a good hind leg. The mare trots with good body position. The canter also has good scope and a good hind leg. The hind leg steps through sufficiently. The mare moves with looseness and good body position.
