Conformation

Foreign Affair is a sufficiently developed stallion with sufficient dressage horse conformation. The head is more than sufficiently attractive. The poll has more than sufficient length. The wither is sufficiently developed and has good length. The neck has more than sufficient length and muscling, with somewhat horizontal placement. The shoulder has more than sufficient length but is slightly straight. The back has good length and muscling. The loins have good muscling and are well connected. The croup has good placement and sufficient length. The line from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock should be longer. The front leg has sufficient length and correct conformation. The hind leg is slightly straight. The pasterns have good length and are correct. The legs are more than sufficiently developed and of good quality. The hooves are slightly small with low heels.

 

Lineage

Foreign Affair's sire is Rock Forever. He is a Rockwell son and a grandson of G.Ramiro Z, out of Lady Sunshine, a Landstreicher (Landgraf I x Capitol I) daughter. In 2005, Rock Forever won reserve Sieger at the stallion inspection in Westfalen.

 

Foreign Affair's dam is Woline, a keur mare by Scandic. Foreign Affair's granddam Noline boasts the keur, preferent, and prestatie predicates. Her sire is Cocktail. Noline's offspring include a 1.40m-level jumper by Voltaire and dressage horses by Scandic and Oliver Z. Foreign Affair's great-granddam is the elite preferent prestatie mare Eljenohve, a daughter of the Amor son Akteur. Eljenhove is also the dam of the KWPN-recognized stallion Luidam (s.Guidam) and the great-granddam of the KWPN-approved stallion and Olympic dressage horse Scandic. Eljenohve also produced Z-level jumpers by Julio Mariner xx and Peter Pan. The dam-line continues with Poline, a daughter of the English Thoroughbred Lucky Boy xx. Poline is also the granddam of Chaman (s.Baloubet du Rouet), who is currently in international show jumping under Ludger Beerbaum. Next in the dam-line is the keur mare Koline, a daughter of Le Faquin xx and Woline (s.Nimrod).

 

Inspection Report

Foreign Affair is an honest and reliable stallion with a more than sufficient temperament. He is very willing to work and has more than sufficient trainability. The walk is more than sufficiently clear and active, but needs to be more consistent. The trot has good scope with a powerful hind leg, which needs to carry more. The canter is powerful and has abundant scope. Foreign Affair moves with more than sufficient elasticity, body position, and balance. He demonstrates more than sufficient to abundant talent as a dressage horse and gives his rider a more than sufficient feeling.

 

Stable Behavior

Foreign Affair is an honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet in his stall.

Foreign Affair can add power and push to dressage horse breeding. He is best paired with long-lined, uphill-built mares.

 

Dam Report
Woline is a more than sufficiently developed mare with good rectangular-shaped conformation and presence.

The head is attractive.

The head-neck connection is slightly heavy.

The neck has sufficient length and muscling. The neck is slightly horizontal when the mare is standing, but she uses it well in motion.

The wither is well developed and has good length.  

The shoulder has good length and is slightly sloped.

The back is slightly tight.

The loins are tight.

The croup has good length and placement.

The front legs are slightly toed-in.

The hind legs are correct.

The pasterns are a fraction straight.

The hooves are small.

The legs are clean and of very good quality.

The walk is active and has sufficient scope.

The trot is light-footed with good scope, elasticity, and front leg use.

The canter is correct with good scope and elasticity.

Foreign Affair showed a collection of sufficiently developed foals with sufficient dressage horse conformation. The head is attractive. The croup is generally sloped and has more than sufficient length. One foal has a slightly toed-out front leg. The hind leg is somewhat straight. The walk has more than sufficient scope and elasticity. Both the trot and canter are light-footed with more than sufficient scope and elasticity; however, the hind leg needs to carry more.
