Conformation

Galandro is a handsome, sufficiently developed stallion with more than sufficient rectangular-shaped conformation. The head is attractive with a nice eye. The poll has good length. The neck has good length, shape, and muscling. The wither is more than sufficiently developed and has good length. The shoulder has good length and placement. The back has good length and muscling. The loin is well connected with good muscling. The croup has good placement, length, and muscling. The line from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock should be longer. The front leg is correct when viewed from the side but slightly toed-out when viewed from the front. The hind leg is correct. The pasterns have good length and are correct. The legs are well developed and of good quality. The hooves are of good quality with good shape.

Lineage

Galandro is by Bon Bravour (Painted Black x Chronos), out of a renowned dam-line. Galandro's dam Lotus, a ster preferent mare by Donnerhall, is the granddam of horses including the KWPN stallion Dorado (s.Krack C). Her direct offspring include a Z1-level dressage horse by Rhodium and a Z2-level dressage horse by Sir Sinclair. Galandro's granddam is the recently deceased ster preferent prestatie mare Charites (s.Roemer), who for many years led the list of most influential mares. Charites is also the dam of the KWPN stallion and ZZ-advanced level dressage horse Kroonjuweel (s.Belisar) and the talented Grand Prix horse Nadine (s.TCN Partout), who was successful in the international dressage ring for many years under Hans Peter Minderhoud. In addition, Charites produced four offspring by Belisar, which competed in Z1- or Z2-level dressage; a full sister to Nadine, which achieved Z2-level dressage; and a ZZ-light level dressage horse by Rousseau. Galandro's great-granddam Lies is a keur preferent prestatie mare by the Amor son Eros. Her offspring include the Grand Prix horse Windsor (s.Roemer) and his full-brother Adonis, a ZZ-light level horse. Lies is also the granddam of the Grand Prix dressage horse Macsharon (s.May Sherif).

Performance Test Report

Galandro is an honest and reliable stallion with a good temperament. He is very willing to work and has good trainability. The walk is pure and has good scope. The trot has more than sufficient to good scope, and the hind leg steps well under the body. The canter is powerful with more than sufficient to abundant carriage and scope. Galandro moves with more than sufficient to abundant elasticity, good carriage, and good balance. He has more than sufficient to abundant talent for dressage and gives his rider a good feeling.

Galandro is an honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet in his stall.
