Performance test report

Conformation:
Hermitage VDL is a well-developed stallion with good rectangular-shaped conformation. The head is sufficiently attractive. The poll has sufficient length with a slightly heavy head-neck connection. The neck has slightly horizontal placement, good length, and sufficient muscling. The wither is more than sufficiently developed and has good length. The shoulder has more than sufficient length and good placement. The back has good length and sufficient muscling. The loins are sufficiently muscled and connected. The croup has good placement, more than sufficient to good length, and good muscling. There is more than sufficient length from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock. The front leg is correct. The hind leg is correct. The pasterns have good length but are slightly weak. The legs are well developed and of good quality. The hooves are wide and of sufficient quality, with low heels.

Lineage:
Hermitage VDL is the fourth KWPN-approved son of the impressive jumper Zirocco Blue VDL. Hermitage VDL's dam, the keur preferent mare Ostara, scored all 8's in the jumping components of her mare test and produced two 1.30m jumpers. Her dam Karina is a keur sport-(jump) mare, who competed at the 1.30m level. The dam-line, which includes the stallions Colino, Landon, the English Thoroughbred Cadmus xx, the Gelder stallion Baron and NWP-stallion Nizam.

Performance Test Report:
Hermitage VDL is an honest, reliable, level-headed stallion with a good temperament. He is very willing to work, has more than sufficient to good trainability, and a good mouth. The walk and trot have more than sufficient scope. The canter is light-footed with good scope and sufficient elasticity. The stallion moves with more than sufficient to good balance but goes slightly on the forehand. Hermitage VDL jumps with good body elevation and good reflexes. The stallion jumps with good to very good form. Hermitage VDL appears careful over jumps and demonstrates abundant to very abundant scope. He shows abundant to very abundant talent as a jumper and gives his rider a good feeling.

Stable Behavior:
Hermitage VDL is an honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet in his stall.

The neck position is varying. The front leg sometimes has a weak pastern angle. The croup is sloping multiple times with sufficient length. The walk is correct and more than sufficient in length. The trot is more than sufficient in impulsion, length, elasticity and balance. The canter is more than sufficient in length, elasticity and balance and sufficient in impulsion.
