Johnson leads the WBFSH sire ranking once again
For the fourth consecutive year, the KWPN stallion Johnson tops the WBFSH Sire Ranking. Dutch bloodlines are especially well represented in the dressage ranking, with no fewer than eight KWPN-approved or -recognized dressage stallions appearing in the top 10. The KWPN-recognized (and KWPN-bred) Kannan proves his strength once again, placing second in the jumping ranking and seventh in the eventing ranking.
In the dressage ranking, the list is led once more by Grand Prix stallion Johnson TN (s.Jazz), who holds the number one position in the world with a comfortable lead. He is followed in second place by the legendary Totilas (s.Gribaldi), while the KWPN-recognized Vitalis (s.Vivaldi) makes an impressive rise to fourth. Remarkably, seven of the stallions with Dutch bloodlines have themselves competed at Grand Prix level, including Johnson, Totilas, Blue Hors Zack, Apache, Bordeaux, and Jazz.
Sport stallions produce sport
KWPN-recognized Blue Hors Zack (s.Rousseau) holds fifth place this year, followed by the preferent Apache (s.UB40) in sixth. Preferent stallions Jazz (s.Cocktail) and Bordeaux (s.United) continue the list, with the KWPN-recognized Zonik N.O.P., a son of Blue Hors Zack, completing the top 10.
Jumping ranking
The jumping ranking also features several KWPN-recognized stallions among the world’s best. The KWPN-recognized and KWPN-bred Kannan (s.Voltaire) takes second place, just behind fellow KWPN-recognized stallion Cornet Obolensky (s.Clinton). The KWPN-recognized Vigo d’Arsouilles (s.Nabab de Rêve) climbs to sixth, followed by Cornet Obolensky’s son Comme Il Faut. KWPN-recognized stallions Emerald van ’t Ruytershof (s.Diamant de Semilly) and Cardento (s.Capitol I) complete the top 10.
Eventing ranking
The eventing ranking likewise shows strong representation from KWPN-recognized stallions. The KWPN-recognized Jaguar Mail (s.Hand in Glove) appears in second place this year, while Contendro I (s.Contender) holds the sixth position. Both Kannan and Vigo d’Arsouilles appear again in the top 10, in seventh and ninth place respectively.
