Conformation description 2004 (15-03 t/m 02-04; short test)Empire is a sufficiently developed, more than sufficient riding type stallion. The neck is heavy, comes from deep in the chest and is vertical. The midsection is hollow. The croup is shaped well. The base is light and has much quality.
Pedigree information
Empire"s sire Emilion was very successful in sport and won the world cup qualifier in Millstreet. Emilion belongs to the better jumper sires and is in the top ten with his jumping index (158 points), thanks to offspring such as Glasgow, Jashar, Miss Montana, and others.
His dam Jorlanda was born in Holstein and is a descendant of Lord Calando, whom we know as the sire of Lux, amongst others. Her grandfather Ahorn is an H Almé-Z son. Jorlanda produced 8 offspring (4 colts and 4 fillies) of which one 2nd ring. We also know her as the dam of the international jumper Heechhiem"s Colanda (s Centauer Z) who, before she was sold to Mexico, competed at the highest international level with Nathalie van der Mei.
Performance
Empire is an honest stallion that is willing to work. The stallion is well prepared to work and works more than sufficiently. The walk has sufficient scope and is pure and active. The trot has sufficient scope, the bend in the hindleg is active but it should come to carry more. The canter is light footed, has more than sufficient scope, has good impulsion and has good flexion. He should use the body more in movement. Empire has moderate to sufficient talent for dressage and gives his rider a sufficient feeling. Empire jumps with more than sufficient take-off and quickness. He shows good use of the foreleg over the jump, he should bascule more and he finishes the jump more than sufficiently behind. The stallion seems careful and shows more than sufficient to much scope. Empire has more than sufficient to much talent for jumping and gives his rider a good feeling.
