Performance test report

Exterior:
Symphograaf is a well-developed stallion with a good rectangular model. The head is expressive. The neck has good length. The neck is well shaped, of good length and well muscled. The shoulder has good length and angle. The withers are well developed and of good length. The back has sufficient length and sufficient muscling. The loins are sufficiently muscled and well connected. The croup is slightly sloping, sufficiently long and well muscled. The hindquarter muscling is of good length. The foreleg is correctly positioned when viewed from the side and slightly French when viewed from the front. The hind leg is slightly sickle-hocked. The hind pasterns are slightly weak. The bone structure is well developed and of sufficient quality. The hooves are well developed and of good quality. The heels are slightly low.

Pedigree:
With his performances at international 1.55m level under Jeroen De Winter and his striking offspring, Pegase van ’t Ruytershof is living up to high expectations. His oldest offspring are now seven years old and are starting their international sport careers. On the dam’s side, Symphograaf is also closely related to successful sport horses. He is a grandson of the well-known top jumping horse Kroon Gravin (s.Grandville), with whom Molly Ashe won several Grand Prix classes and World Cup competitions and competed in the World Cup Final in Las Vegas. This makes Symphograaf’s dam Edelgravin a half-sister to the international 1.60m horse Nomograaf (s.Orthos), who – like his dam – competed successfully in the World Cup circuit under Allison Kroft. From this direct dam line also come Jimmy Torano’s former 1.60m horse Betagravin (s.Quasimodo Z), as well as the internationally classified 1.50m / 1.60m horses Donaugraaf (s.Quasimodo Z), Respectograaf (s.Grandville) and Grand Prix winner Lothagravin (s.El Salvador). In the second generation, the Grand Prix stallion Vigaro contributes his performance genes. Vigaro competed successfully at the highest level with Gerco Schröder and Roelof Bril.

Performance test report:
Symphograaf is a comfortable stallion to ride with a good attitude and willingness to work. The walk and trot have good ground cover and sufficient suppleness. In movement, Symphograaf shows good posture and balance. The canter has good ground cover, is comfortable to ride and became lighter during the test period. Over the fences, Symphograaf jumps sufficiently upward with good take-off. He shows somewhat variable wither–shoulder technique, good use of the body and finishes the jump sufficiently well behind. During the test, Symphograaf showed clear improvement in jumping and appears to have scope. He gives his rider a good feeling over the jump.

Stable behaviour:
An honest and reliable stallion. Easy to handle and calm in the stable.

Veterinary report:

Symphograaf can improve jumping qualities, particularly scope and rideability.

Dam report:
Edelgravin is a sufficiently developed mare with a sufficiently rectangular model. The head is sufficiently expressive. The neck has sufficient length with a sufficiently light head–neck connection. The neck is horizontal in shape, sufficiently long and sufficiently muscled. The withers are sufficiently developed and of sufficient length. The shoulder has good length but is slightly steep in angle. The back has sufficient length and sufficient muscling. The loins are well muscled and well connected. The croup is sloping, of sufficient length and well muscled. The hindquarter muscling has good length. The forelegs are French when viewed from the front (particularly the right foreleg) and correctly positioned when viewed from the side. The hind leg is long. The pasterns are correctly aligned. The hooves are narrow and of sufficient quality with good heels. The bone structure is well developed and of good quality. The walk has sufficient ground cover. The trot is correct and has sufficient ground cover.
