Genetic profile
The breeding values have been estimated using information from sport, inspections and aptitude tests as well as the available DNA profiles (genotypes).
The DNA profile of the horse itself is not included here.
The breeding values are presented in relation to the dressage breeding direction.
An average KWPN show jumper has a show jumping breeding value between 80 and 120.

Performance test report
Conformation Description 2002Silverstar is a well developed, riding type stallion that stands in sufficient rectangular model. The neck is well formed and has good length. The wither has sufficient length. The croup is short. The hamstring should be longer. The base is well developed.
Pedigree information
Silverstar can fall back on an impressive row of performance stallions and mares. Corland, Grannus, Nimmerdor, Joost, Abgar xx and Stefan (s Sinaeda) raise expectations. But the mares that follow one another in the pedigree are really impressive. Dam Kolinda jumped at Z-level herself, she also produced 3 colts and 1 filly. Golinda, herself a national jumper, produced Leo (national jumper by Grannus), Malle Quibus (Z-level jumper by Quito de Baussy) and Kolinda. Kolinda stood out on the course because of her scope, focus and reflexes. The Joost mare Colinda only produced two foals, one of which was the UTV mare Golinda who qualified for Grand Prix and who has received the prestatie predicate based on her first three offspring. The keur preferent and prestatie mare Tilinda also jumped at Z-level. Combined with Joost she produced the Grand Prix-horses Gideon and Attent, combined with G Ramiro-Z she produced a ZZ-level horse. The Stefan mare Ilinda was a Z-jumper. She produced five Z-level jumpers, two of which jumped internationally.
Performance
Silverstar is an honest, reliable stallion. He has much willingness to work and he works more than sufficiently. The walk has sufficient scope but is not always pure. Silverstar has sufficient scope in the trot. He trots with sufficient impulsion but should carry more. He has more than sufficient scope at the canter. He canters with more than sufficient suppleness, more than sufficient impulsion and good balance. Silverstar has moderate talent for dressage and gives his rider a sufficient feeling.
As a jumper Silverstar"s performance varied throughout the entire test. He jumps with more than sufficient to good take-off. His technique of the foreleg varies. His bascule is more than sufficient to good and he generally finishes the jump well behind. He seems to be careful and to have much scope. Silverstar has more than sufficient to much talent and gives his rider a good feeling.
Stall and handling behavior is normal.
No veterinary remarks.
He was not accepted into the studbook after the performance test.
Re-keuring in Ermelo. After the rekeuring he was accepted into the studbook. A large, youthful, -and still flabby- stallion who won"t be three until July and who was green and only moderate prepared when he arrived. Good quality as a jumper and a notably strong mare line in which conformation and sport characteristics are clearly anchored.

Offspring report
Offspring 2003 (foals)Silverstar showed a collection of moderately to sufficiently developed foals that vary in type and that should stand in more rectangular model.
The head is shaped well. The poll should be longer. The neck generally comes from deep in the chest and varies in shape and length. The wither is sufficiently long and moderately developed. The shoulder is short and straight. The back is generally weak. The loins are sufficiently connected and wide. The croup should be longer and is sufficiently placed. The tail is set on high. The hamstring should be longer. The foreleg has a straight pastern. The hindleg varies in build. The base is fine and has sufficient quality.
The walk is pure, short with moderate suppleness. The trot is short, moderately carried and the foals lack balance, regularity and suppleness. The canter is short and stiff with moderate impulsion with a stiff foreleg.
There were 8 picked foals and none that were selected by the owner. Two foals that were inspected at home fit in with the above report.
The mares had moderate quality.
Shown: 8 (+2) foals out of 23 mares that were bred in 2002.
Watchlist 2003
Silverstar is put on the watchlist on the basis of his offspring (foal) report. In 2002, Silverstar bred 23 mares, 8 of the resulting foals were shown and two other foals were inspected at home. The stallion does not seem to be able to improve on generally moderate mares in regards to type, movement and development. For this reason the committee decided it was desirable to put the stallion on the watchlist and await further development of the stallion and his offspring.
