WC Young Driving horses: three medals for KWPN

The first participation in the World Young Horse Driving Championships by a Dutch delegation in seven years, held in Lamotte Beuvron, France, can be seen as a decisive success, thanks to a few Dutch driving experts. Wilbrord van den Broek finished in second place in the final with his Love to Dance LL, while Sabrina Melotti achieved an honourable third place with her eye-catching horse, Melotti Texel.

From September 28 to October 1st, the first edition of the WBFSH Studbook Jumping Global Champions Trophy will take place in Valkenswaard. The KWPN will be represented in all categories.

The Irish riders dominated the World Championship for five-year-olds in Lanaken. With a strong fifth place, Bernardo Ladeira provided tough competition with his well-bred Falaise de Muze daughter, Noblesse.

Breeder premiums for breeders of medal winners in Lanaken

From September 21st to September 24th, the FEI WBFSH World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses will take place in the Belgian town of Lanaken. A breeder's premium is offered to breeders of the eventual medal winners.

EC-Silver and -bronze for Glamourdale and Imhotep

In a thrilling Equestrian European Championship final in Riesenbeck, the KWPN stallion Glamourdale, ridden by Charlotte Fry, secured his first individual European Championship medal: he won silver with a new personal record of 92.37%. The relatively inexperienced Imhotep, ridden by Charlotte Dujardin, secured bronze with a score of 91.39%. The gold once again went to Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and TSF Dalera BB, who is the daughter of the KWPN-recognized stallion Easy Game.

Para-gold for Daula II, Para-silver for Demantur and Alphaville

On the final day of the European Para-Dressage Championships, there was gold for Demi Haerkens, silver for Frank Hosmar and Sanne Voets, and bronze for Lotte Krijnsen. "I think they rode incredibly well in the finals," concludes coach Joyce van Rooijen-Heuitink. "A beautiful collection of medals together. I am very proud."

Gold medal for Dutch para-dressage team

At the European Para-Dressage Championship, the Dutch team won gold in the team competition. Demi Haerkens, riding Grade IV with EHL Daula N.O.P., set a world record score of 79.730 percent. The proud coach Joyce van Rooijen-Heuitink said: "We've never had such a high average as a country. This is very special." This is the fourth medal for the Dutch team at the European Championship and there's the chance of more in the Freestyle competition tomorrow.

Bronze for Imhotep, four KWPN horses in the top 10

After a second-place finish in the individual competition and team gold in the Grand Prix, Charlotte Dujardin also claimed an individual bronze medal in the Grand Prix Special at the European Dressage Championships in Riesenbeck with her just ten-year-old horse Imhotep. Leading world champion Glamourdale, ridden by Charlotte Fry, finished in fourth place with a score of nearly 82%, coming very close to the podium.

European Championship gold for Great Britain with a complete KWPN team

A team result with an average (!) score of 80,75% per counting test: with that overwhelming number of points, the all-British team consisting entirely of KWPN (Dutch Warmblood) horses secured the gold at the European Dressage Championships in Riesenbeck this afternoon. The team, consisting of Charlotte Dujardin with Imhotep, Glamourdale with Charlotte Fry, Fame with Carl Hester, and Classic Briolinca with Gareth Hughes, convinced on all fronts. The KWPN stallion Indian Rock was the best Dutch combination, together with Emmelie Scholtens.

KWPN recognizes the Grand Prix stallion Nespresso

The Grand Prix stallion Nespresso has been nominated for recognition. The General Board has formalized the recognition request of this son of Negro. The stallion from Van Olst Horses recently made his international Grand Prix debut.

Medal shower in para-dressage; European title for Daula II

The European Championship in Riesenbeck has started well for the Dutch horses participating in para-dressage. EHL Daula II N.O.P. became the European champion in the individual test, followed by Demantur RS2 N.O.P. and Katharina Sollenburg. In Grade V, there were medals for Alphaville N.O.P. and Highlanders Delight’s.

EC Milan: Faltic HB fourth, three KWPN horses in top 10

The individual final of the European Championship Jumping in Milan offered top-level sport, starring fantastic horses. The gold was won by Steve Guerdat, the silver medal went to Philipp Weishaupt and Julien Epaillard secured bronze. Faltic HB concluded his championship in the fourth position.

Team gold for Iliana and team silver for Highland President

The battle for the team medals went down to the wire at the historical racetrack of Milan. Defending champion Switzerland watched their dreams of a medal go up in smoke and Austria mounted the podium for the first time since 1992. Sweden claimed the gold, Ireland secured silver and the bronze medal was awarded to Austria.

Day two of the European Championship has come to an end. A championship-worthy yet fair course was today’s task at hand. The standings were shuffled and the ten best countries qualified for the final of the team championship. Three KWPN horses in the top 15 and TeamNL fighting back to secure that spot in the final made it another good day in Milan.

The Swedish team are off to a flying start at the European Championship in Milan. All four team riders claiming a top 12 spot propelled them to the leading position in the team standings. KWPN mare Iliana ridden by Henrik von Eckermann made a crucial contribution.
